Matthew 13:44-46, Did you find the treasures and the pearl?

44 "The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. 45 "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

   What is the most precious thing in the world? It is a treasure hidden in the field and a pearl. This means the kingdom of God and Jesus Christ. Jesus is the world's greatest treasure and most precious pearl. He is the purpose and meaning of life. Have you found this treasure and pearl?

1. Did you find the hidden treasure? 44

   “Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, and when a man finds it, he hides it, rejoices, and returns, selling all his possessions, and buying the field.”
   Heaven is a hidden treasure. The discoverer sold all his possessions and bought a field with the treasure. Are you looking for a treasure? Or are you looking for and enjoying it? There is life in Jesus and death without Him. There is hope in Him, and despair without Him. There is light in Him but is darkness without. John 1: 4,5,11,12, 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men.  5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

1) Those who accidentally discovered the heaven:
 The woman by the well of John 4,            Saul of Acts 9.
2) God was ready and waiting for us.
   The farmer who found the treasure in the text came back with joy. He sold all his possessions and bought a field with the treasure.
  See Philippians 3:8, Paul's Confession of Treasure. How are we? Did you find the treasure Jesus Christ? Do you own the heaven? Did you get something more valuable than everything in the world? Hymn # 94, I'd rather have Jesus.

2. Did you find the Pearl of Great Price? 45-46,

   “45 And heaven is like a business that seeks good pearls; 46 he found a very precious pearl, and he went and sold all his possessions to buy it.”
 1) Businessman actively found only one pearl. 2) Those who find a pearl and buy it have joy and deep impression. 3) What is the law of possessing heaven?

3. Jesus is the greatest treasure, the pearl(44,45).

   More precious than all of us (nothing more precious than the Lord Jesus). Do you live with confidence in Jesus' life, your way, and your truth?
