Psalm 126:1-6, Tears of gratitude, Tears of joy

1-6,
1 A song of ascents. When the LORD brought back the captives to Zion, we were like men who dreamed.
2 Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, "The LORD has done great things for them."
3 The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
4 Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like streams in the Negev.
5 Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.
6 He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him.

  * Jesus gave us three liquids as a gift. The blood of life (the cross), the sweat of prayer (Garden of Gethsemane) and the tears of love (Jerusalem). Thank the Lord and let us live for Jesus too.

Today's texts reveals Israel's long pain and suffering. 'Prisoners' (1,4) show that they are spending a very dark time. It seemed as if they dreamed of being liberated by God's amazing grace.

This 8.15 Liberation Day of Korea was the 74th anniversary we spent the dark 35 years under Japanese rule without sovereignty and nation. But by the grace of God we were suddenly released. “That day, in our mouths, a lingering smile burst into our lips.” Surprise! Jehovah's Work! How glad we were that Jehovah did great and wonderful things! ”(2-3).

* God has given us the greatest work of our life, soul salvation. How thankful it is!
But it was not yet complete liberation. The prisoner remained in Babylon. So they pray for all to come back (4).
Land returned after 70 years was devastated. Had to remove stones, uproot and till the ground. They had to sow in tears.

*Compare this with the pictures of Millet and Van Gogh's Seeders. The sower of the gospel is solemn and grand. The poet in the text, however, sows while sowing. Why? For the land is desolate and uncultivated.

As they sow hopelessly and sow the seeds of life, we will return to the harvest with joy (5,6).

* Pray with tears for the family and neighbors who are still unsaved, and sow the blood of Jesus' life.

Galatians 6:9, "Do what is good, but do not be discouraged. If we do not give up, the time will come and we will reap."
v.3, The LORD has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.
The lord will do great things for us, and we will be filled with joy.

God will make the river of living water of the Holy Spirit flow, just as heavy rains will flow in the dry streams of southern Israel, creating a remarkable work of revival.

So what should we do? The fire of the Spirit must come down us. An amazing revival took place when the fire of the Holy Spirit came on Jerusalem. Pray for the fire of the Holy Spirit to come upon us. No matter how much rain falls in the desert, or if water is supplied continuously, it turns into the good land. Our dry life, a wilderness-like life, but if the Holy Spirit is filled with fullness, if we are filled with Jesus life, we will be used as a channel of blessing to give life to our neighbors. Ask for an opportunity of this wonderful miracle. Amen.

Hymn #496
(1) Let's sow the seeds from the dawn until the evening by our love
When fruit is ripened, the harvest is gathered with joy.

(2) Do not be afraid to sprinkle rain and wind
When we have finished the work, we will reap the wheat with joy

(3) I worry that I will be born when sowing seeds,
Later, Jesus will commend him for the harvest.

(refrain) To reap, to reap, to reap sweets with joy.
To reap, to reap, to reap sweets with joy, amen.
