John 1:35-42, The heaven visionary (Heavenly Star)

35-42,
35.The next day John was there again with two of his disciples.
36.When he saw Jesus passing by, he said, "Look, the Lamb of God!"
37.When the two disciples heard him say this, they followed Jesus.
38.Turning around, Jesus saw them following and asked, "What do you want?" They said, "Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?"
39."Come," he replied, "and you will see." So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him. It was about the tenth hour.
40.Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard what John had said and who had followed Jesus.
41.The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah" (that is, the Christ).
42.And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas" (which, when translated, is Peter).

Jesus' greatest vision is the kingdom of God, the vision of heaven. He chose, disciplined and sent His disciples.
 * Jesus called Andrew and us, trained and sent to the world.

1. Come and see!    invitation (35-39)
35, John's introduction to John the Baptist, 'Behold the Lamb of God, which takes away the sin of the world!'
When Andrew came to Jesus, Jesus asked him, "What do you want?" (38)
'Rabbi, where are you staying' (38)
39, Come and See!
Andrew would not have forgotten the day he met Jesus, the Lamb of God, who took away the sin of the world for the first time.
* Have you been invited by Jesus? Did you experience Jesus' grace?

2. We found the Messiah! (41)
41, Andrew confesses to Peter. "We have found the Messiah."
Matthew 16:16,  Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
Jesus is the Christ, Son of God!
John Calvin, 'You must have confidence in your faith.'  Truth and confidence.
 * Confidence of the person who met the alligator and was hurt by it.
Did you meet Jesus with the Messiah?

3. Andrew brought his brother Simon to Jesus (42).
 Andrew who brought the souls,
 1) 1:42, He brought his brother Simon to Jesus.
 2) 6:9, he brought a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish.
"Here is a boy with five small loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?"
 3) 12:22, He brought some Greeks to Jesus.
"Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus."

 * Who are you to bring to Jesus? Your family, friend, or neighbors?
 * It is personal evangelism that comes with one person to Jesus.

It's in the Bible, Daniel 12:3, TLB, "A wise man will shine like the brightness of the firmament. He who has caused many to return to righteousness(Jesus Christ) will shine like a star forever."

* Jesus(God) looks for one person ! He lets him shine like a star forever as a prize.  Job Ads.
  Edward Kimball → D.L. Moody (19C, 1 million people) → F.B. Meyer → Wilbur Chapman (1 million) → Billy Sunday (900,000) → Billy Graham (millions) →? You

* Andrew's greatest lesson is his deep interest and vision for one person.

Be a blessed heavenly visionary saint that loves a more precious soul than the world and prays in tears. Amen.
