Lev. 25:23-28,47-50  Enjoy the blessings of the Goel, Jesus Christ

25:23-28
23."`The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants. 4.Throughout the country that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land. 25.`If one of your countrymen becomes poor and sells some of his property, his nearest relative is to come and redeem what his countryman has sold. 26.If, however, a man has no one to redeem it for him but he himself prospers and acquires sufficient means to redeem it, 27.he is to determine the value for the years since he sold it and refund the balance to the man to whom he sold it; he can then go back to his own property. 28.ut if he does not acquire the means to repay him, what he sold will remain in the possession of the buyer until the Year of Jubilee. It will be returned in the Jubilee, and he can then go back to his property.

25:47-50
47 "`If an alien or a temporary resident among you becomes rich and one of your countrymen becomes poor and sells himself to the alien living among you or to a member of the alien's clan, 48 he retains the right of redemption after he has sold himself. One of his relatives may redeem him: 49 An uncle or a cousin or any blood relative in his clan may redeem him. Or if he prospers, he may redeem himself. 50 He and his buyer are to count the time from the year he sold himself up to the Year of Jubilee. The price for his release is to be based on the rate paid to a hired man for that number of years.

* Question / Do you enjoy the blessings of the year of the Jubilee?

1. God is Goel (Is. 41:14), Jesus Christ came as our Goel (Luke 4:17-19)

  1) forgiveness of our sins(cancelling of our debts) 2) healing of patients, reviving of the dead(emancipation of the slaves) 3) to be united with us, to be restored as the children of God (levirate marriage), and to win through the cross (reigning in Jesus).

2. Goel is a redeemer of our inheritance (25: 23-28)
  25: 23-28,
Lk 4:17-19, Jesus proclaimed Him as the Goel.
17 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: 18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."

3. Goel makes servants free (25:47-50)

  47. If a brother or sister who is with you is rich, and your brother with him is poor, and if he is sold to a family member of the family of a relative who is with you or a relative or a relative, 48. After he is sold, 49. One of his brethren redeem him; or 49. Or the son of his uncle or his uncle redeem him, or redeem him among his flesh among his fathers; and when he is rich he redeem himself. He will count the days until the Jubilee with the living, and when he determines the value of his body according to the training, he will be the day of his employment with the man. The servant is freed and returned to his original home. Jesus, who is Goel, crosses.   Because we were sacrificed in the autumn, we all have freedom and enjoy it (Romans 8:1-2)

4. Goer makes them carry on his brother's name through marriage, and preserves faith forever (Deuteronomy 25:5-10)

 * Boaz (Goel) and Ruth (wants to recover the family of Elimelech)

 * Blessing of Goel Boas(Ruth 4:21,22, Mt. 1:5-6)

* God makes us enjoy the blessings through the Seven Festivals (Passover, Unleavened Bread, the Firstfruits, Pentecost, Trumpet Festival, Atonement Day, Tabernacle Festival)
and to grow faith by the Sabbath, the sabbath year, the jubilee, and the blessing of Goel.

Prayer/
God who is Goel, Jesus who came as our Goel. You freed us from our sins, raised the dead, and won through the cross as the children of God. We were truly free in the truth Jesus. We enjoy abundant blessings in the eternal inheritance of Jesus. Thank you for letting the prodigal son enjoy all the blessings of his father. Let us live for the Gospel. Amen.
