Acts 9:10-22 It is only God's grace!

10-22
10.  In Damascus there was a disciple named Ananias. The Lord called to him in a vision, "Ananias!" "Yes, Lord," he answered.
11.  The Lord told him, "Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.
12.  In a vision he has seen a man named Ananias come and place his hands on him to restore his sight."
13.  "Lord," Ananias answered, "I have heard many reports about this man and all the harm he has done to your saints in Jerusalem.
14.  And he has come here with authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on your name."
15. But the Lord said to Ananias, "Go! This man is my chosen instrument to carry my name before the Gentiles and their kings and before the people of Israel.  16.  I will show him how much he must suffer for my name."
17.  Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, "Brother Saul, the Lord -- Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here -- has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
18.  Immediately, something like scales fell from Saul's eyes, and he could see again. He got up and was baptized,
19.  and after taking some food, he regained his strength. Saul spent several days with the disciples in Damascus.
20.  At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.  21. All those who heard him were astonished and asked, "Isn't he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn't he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?"
22.  Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.

  It was like a miracle.
There is a miracle in the text. The young Saul met Jesus and became blind for three days. Three days later, his scales were removed from his eyes, and he was baptized with the Holy Spirit and changed into a new man. The persecutor became an evangelist.
It is only God's grace. It is so that we are saved and served.

1. God prepares help for us (Ananias) (10-16).

The Lord guaranteed Saul and sent Ananias to help Saul. Who is prepared for me? Who am I prepared for? Encourage each other, and let's make the kingdom of God together. We are friendly, helpful. Our enemies are the devil  and evil spirits (John 10:10). Help each other by the power of the Holy Spirit.

2. Obey the Word without understanding it. The obedient is the catalyst.

Ananias can not understand and protest against the Lord. Saul was harmful to the church (13-14). "... He has done harm to the Lord and the church." but obeys the saying, 'Go, Saul is my vessel to proclaim my name.' Saul is ordained to heal and receive the Holy Spirit and baptism (17-18), which was used as a catalyst and a tool to change Saul.
*Do you have an example of obedience and blessing, even though you did not understand the words?
* Acts 10, Peter's obedience to things that he can not understand.
* What are the scales you will take off? Power, experience, knowledge, prejudice, etc.

3. Tell the gospel (Jesus) who has been changed.

Paul / Jesus is the Son of God, Christ (see Matthew 16:16).
20, 22. At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
Those who meet Jesus affect soul salvation (9:32-43, Aeneas and Dorcas)
John Newton's testimony, hymn 305:1, 'Amazing Grace'
'I once was lost, but now am found! Was blind, but now I see! Amen! '

The Lord called us and saved us and became a minister of the church. Let's live together as a worker who proclaims the gospel of Christ, and a co-worker who builds the kingdom of God. Amen.
