Ezekiel 18:1-32, Repent your heart & spirit and Live

Chapter 18 tells us that the issue of faith and salvation of the soul is the responsibility of the individual. However, at that time, the Babylonian captives of Judah used the proverb, “The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the children’s teeth are set on edge,” and blamed God for their suffering because of the sins of their ancestors.
However, Ezekiel corrects the wrong proverb, saying that everyone is because of their own sins.
He presents three situations.
1. If a righteous person continues to do righteousness, he will surely live (5-9)
2. If a righteous father’s son is wicked, he will surely die (10-13)
3. If a wicked father’s son is righteous, he will surely live (14-20)

And he delivers God’s word to solve the problem. 1. Righteousness and evil are present, and God's judgment is righteous (21-29)
2. The way to live is to repent your heart & spirit(30-32).

Dear saints,
Let us all come closer to the righteous God, the God of love who wants us to believe well and live righteously. I bless you to repent your heart and spirit and enjoy life, and live as a blessed people who spread the word. Amen.
