Ezekiel 4:1-17, Ezekiel, prophesy with action

God lets Ezekiel prophesy with action. In 3:24-27, He lets him serve as a mute who is bound. In ch. 4 and 5, He shows His meaning through various action prophecies. There are three in ch.4 and one in ch.5. Today, let us listen to God's word through the three action prophecies in ch.4.

1. 1-3: Prophecy of the Soil Tablets (Model of Jerusalem, Babylonian siege of Jerusalem) - Know that a time of severe suffering is coming

2. 4-8: Prophecy of the Bed of Suffering (Atonement of the Sins of Israel and Judah, Captivity and Liberation) - Be thankful for the atonement of the cross of Jesus Christ, and look forward to the hope of liberation beyond the suffering of captivity

3. 9-17: Food and Water of Suffering (Famine in Jerusalem due to the Enemy Siege) - Know that the severe suffering is due to sin, repent, and move from spiritual and physical famine to abundance

What is the lesson given to us today? It shows that it is appointed for man to die once, but after that comes judgment (Heb.9:27). Before the final judgment due to sin comes, we must be alert so that our lives may be righteous and not live like salt that has lost its flavor. Let us open our eyes to the signs of this age. We must discern heaven and earth and listen to the words God gives us about our lives. May we all listen to the Holy God and His Word and become blessed saints who spread the life of Jesus in a right relationship with God. Amen.

(Prayer)
Almighty God, we wake up from sleep to Your threats. We surrender to Your power. When You punish us like a father because we do not know how deep our sins are, let us benefit under Your whip of love. Let us continue to truly repent throughout the entire course of our lives, and let us become wise people who live in meditation. After abandoning the evil and filth of the flesh, let us be transformed into true purity until we finally enjoy the glory of heaven. We pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
