Acts 9:23-43, Jesus’ protection(Saul) & Healing (Peter’s ministry)

Saul met the resurrected Jesus and brought about a tremendous change. From a bitter persecutor, he turned into a passionate evangelist. And now he is in the same situation as the disciples of the Lord he persecuted. He had to suffer from opposition and resistance from the Jews. But God protects him through his co-workers. The Church of the Holy Spirit was well established.

1. Saul’s protector Jesus and the strong church (23-31)
After meeting Jesus, Saul changes 180 degrees and preaches the gospel (Jesus Christ). Although he encounters great opposition, he goes to Jerusalem with the help of Jesus. Even there, His disciples do not believe in his change and his life is in danger, so he goes to his hometown of Tarsus. Meanwhile, the Church of the Holy Spirit is at peace and stands strong in the fear of the Lord and the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

2. Healing Aeneas (33-34)
In Lydda, Peter heals Aeneas, who had been paralyzed for eight years, in the name of Jesus Christ. Peter, who was full of the Holy Spirit, converted 3,000 people to 5,000 people in Jerusalem. Now, a weak and neglected patient has been healed. When a soul bigger than the world is healed, many people see this and return to the Lord.

3. Raising Tabitha (Dorcas) (35-43) Also, Tabitha (Dorcas), a female disciple who did a lot of good deeds and charity work in Joppa, died. Peter receives an urgent visit request, rushes in, prays for her, and saves her life. “Tabitha, wake up.” Knowing this, many people believe in the Lord. Peter stays at the house of Simon, a tanner.

Dear saints, Jesus is our protector and healer. I hope that you will be protected by Jesus like Saul, that you will perform miracles in the name of Jesus even in small things like Peter, and that you will live a blessed life that heals your and other’s soul.
