  We are bridge-laying life. Small things are important, but are they building bridges that will last forever? 
  Three building materials, the correlation between the building materials and their result we use, 1 Corinthians 3:12-14, gold, silver, jewelry/ wood, grass, straw? Use three long-lasting building materials.

  1. The conviction that comes from God's Word, Mat. 7:26, The conviction and practice are important to us.

  2. Our Christlike Character. Rom 8:29.
    *The statue of David (Michelangelo) is the result of cutting off and throwing away all that is not seen as David. We detract from a character that does not look like Jesus Christ. To do this, you use three Ps. 1) Problems of life  2) Life Pressures, 3) People Who Meet (People)

3. Bridge Building, A Bridge that Leads People to God
  Eternal heritage is built on community. Luke 10:40-42, 'Mary chose a good share.'
  Most of the material we will leave is lost sooner than we do. Jesus is the one who bridged the bridge between God and us. We celebrate our lives with the conviction of the Word, the character of Jesus, the people who built upon the community and set the bridge of life to lead our posterity and neighbors to the eternal God. Amen.
