Revelation 14: 12-20 Last harvest, saints, be patient,  Sermon Summary

12-20,
12.This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.
13.Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."
14.I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one "like a son of man" with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand.
15.Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe."
16.So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.
17.Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.
18.Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, "Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth's vine, because its grapes are ripe."
19.The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath.
20.They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses' bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.
   * Rural summer and autumn harvest experience, grain and threshing separated by threshing grain and sickle.
There are two harvests at the end of the earth. Matthew 25: 31-46, Jesus divides sheep and goats, grains and tares, good fish and bad fish(13:40,48).
Let's look at the two harvests of the text. The reaper is Jesus Christ, the Son of Man. Head-gold crown, hand-sharp sickle.

1. Salvation (Grain) Harvest (14-16)

The Lord harvests and gathers grain with a sickle.
Mt. 3:12, the wheat is tossed in the barns, and the chaffs are thrown into the fire.
 Mt. 24:30, 31
* Will you have a grain harvest?
Qualification? 1) Have you been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb? (3, 4)  Absolutely obey Him. (4) Do you live this way?

2. Grapes harvest of Wrath (17-20)

An angel (the Lord's servant) harvests the grapes of wrath with a sickle. Step into the winepress and threw it out of the castle (refusing God's love). Massive blood rises and spreads throughout Israel = all the world <1600 = (4X4X10X10) Stadion>.

3. Be patient, saints! (12-13).

Be patient, saints! Do you keep the commandments of God and faith in Jesus?
Blessed are those who die in the Lord (13), and their labors cease to rest. Because it is based only on Jesus' life.

 Question /
Are You Living by Jesus Life? Are you patient and resting in the Lord?
* Saint's life is like a boxer on the ring! We want to give up. But believe in the word of God and the Lamb, and be patient. Do not be discouraged or give up, but be armed with Jesus' life. There will surely be a blessed future. Amen (13, Amen of the Holy Spirit).
