Summary of Sermon
Revelation 7: 9-17,  Tribulation and the abundant blessings

 7:9-17,
9.After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
10.And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
11.All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
12.saying: "Amen! Praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and strength be to our God for ever and ever. Amen!"
13.Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes -- who are they, and where did they come from?"
14.I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
15.Therefore, "they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple; and he who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.
16.Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat upon them, nor any scorching heat.
17.For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."

There is a great and small tribulation in life. But abundant blessings are promised to those who pass through it. The book of Revelation speaks of the tribulation of the saints, but it also shows wonderful hope. Abundant blessings are given to the saints who have passed through the tribulation. Romans 8:18, There is a glory that is not comparable to the present tribulation.

1. 9-10,
The apostle John sees a great crowd on exile Patmos (9). They wear white clothing (holy victory) and palm branches (victory and resurrection) to praise God. “God and the Lamb give salvation” (10). They are sin-washed by the blood of the Lamb. They are our saints today.

* Did you wash in the blood of the Lamb and dressed in white and carrying palm branches?
* What praises do you live in reminiscent of the deep impression of salvation?

2. 11/12,  Praise of angels
“The Lord has praise, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and strength”

3. Who is a large crowd of 13,14? : Church Overcoming Tribulation

4. 15-17 / Great reward for those who have passed through tribulation
    (Abundant life, John 10:10)

 1) Serving God forever (the tabernacle, together with God and His protecting,    15, 21: 3,
Psalm 84:10, The presence of God

 2) neither hunger nor thirst nor spoil (16)

 3) The shepherd Lamb leads to the fountain of life (17, Ps. 23: 2)

Prayer : Lord, knowing the sufferings of saints who are hungry and thirsty on earth, we wash away the tears of our eyes and look forward to a glorious future to worship God in the temple of heaven. We are thrilled by the grace that cleanses all our filthy sins with the blood of the Lord and places us in the place of heaven. Help us to endure well in times of suffering and to praise and live forever from now on.
