Rom 1:13-17  Recover the passion of the Gospel 복음의 열정을 다시 회복하라

  *CEO of Coke says I do not have blood flowing in my veins, but Coca-Cola! How great is his enthusiasm?

  Apostle Paul! He is a man full of passion for Jesus. He is the one who died in the Gospel Acts 20:24, However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me -- the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
 2Cor. 5:13, If we are out of our mind, it is for the sake of God; ...
    Rom. 1:15, That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.  We must hear the gospel again. The person who needs the gospel is actually even in the church. There is a person in the church who needs to be renewed once again in front of the cross. There is a person in the church who needs to be dissolved by the love of God. There are people in the church who are to die and reborn. Then what should we do when we hear the Gospel again? What will be the result of listening to the Gospel again?

1. Recover your lost passion of salvation!

  George Whitfield, in his early twenties, heard the gospel again and experienced the thrill of salvation. "How great the joy of my soul was when the weight of sin disappeared and the consciousness of God's love was settled in my soul that was submerged! It was an unexplained joy in words and a joy full of glory. It is clear that the day was a memorable day forever. My joy flooded over the river bank like a flood, 'How can I regain the thrill? Every day we must listen to the Gospel and the Word. We must live close to Jesus and live in hope of the cross of Jesus, forgiveness of sins, and the kingdom of heaven. V. 16, "This gospel is the power of God to deliver salvation to all believers."
    John 3:36. * A testimony of a Kwansa, "When I heard the word, I realized that the emotions of salvation had cooled down, and I restored my lost passion of salvation." Just as the Roman church had to hear the gospel again, let us hear the gospel again. Please regain the thrill of salvation again lost.

2. Restore the power of the gospel.

  Vs. 16, 17 say, "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."
   What power did Paul want to bring the gospel back to the Roman church and burn it? It is the power of the gospel. The gospel is the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 3:6, Peter raised a man crippled from birth in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus Christ, the gospel, has tremendous power. It made the devil tremble and the evil spirits flee. I hope that you restore this spiritual gospel power given by faith. Acts 1: 8.

3. Bear fruit of the gospel of which God is pleased.

  Verse 13, "Brethren, I do not want you to know that I have tried to go to you many times, that it may bear fruit among you, as among the Gentiles, until now the way is blocked." Here the fruit is the fruit of evangelism. Paul wants the Roman Church to restore the passion of the gospel and reap the fruits of evangelism.
   God does not rejoice that I alone believe in Jesus and come to Him. Everyone is saved and wants to know the truth (1 Tim. 2: 4). So what should we do? First of all, we must hear the gospel again and restore the emotions of salvation and the power of the gospel. And have a passion for evangelism.
   *A Story of an elementary school student. He believeed in Jesus so well. "I was greatly blessed. But my dad does not believe in Jesus. I believe in Jesus and felt the thrill of salvation in my heart. I can not believe in Jesus alone. I have to preach the Gospel to my parents." He has a passion for evangelism. He told his father every day that he would believe in Jesus. His dad told him. "Yes. Trust in Him, you first. I'll believe in Him someday. So, if you annoy me too much, is not it rather burdensome to me? " Then one day, a car accident happened and the child died. His father was very sad. After the funeral, He touched the remains of his dead son one by one. He touched his son's clothes and books. Then he found a note. It was a diary. When he opened the diary, he was surprised enough to be stunned. In his diary he wrote a few days before his death, his prayer was written: "God, let my dad believe in Jesus. God, I want to die if I have to die for my dad to believe in Jesus. Please let my dad believe in Jesus even though I am dead. "The shock, regret, and emotion he received as he read this text were immeasurable." Is it so important to believe in Jesus? Is it something I should believe with giving life?" At last, he repented before God and welcomed Jesus as his God and Savior. He changed the life of the Son and the saving of his soul. Do you know who he is? Over the past half-century, he was vice president of international affairs at the Campus Crusade for Christ(CCC), which has played a major role in bringing millions of young people to Christ all over the world. When we regain the sensitivity of salvation and the power of the gospel, we are eager to give God the fruits of evangelism. Let your unbelieving family believe in Jesus. Feel sick when you see a neighbor who does not believe in Him. We all have to be such people. "Have I not gotten the power of the Gospel? Let us restore the name of Jesus, the power of the gospel of Jesus' cross, and the power of the Holy Spirit. Let the fruits of evangelism be given to the Lord."

   Beloved believers, please stand before the Lord with these resolutions. Now the Lord will receive you. We must restore the thrill of salvation and the power of the gospel. And I pray that you can give God the fruit of evangelism with your passion for gopspel. Amen.
