<Sermon Summary> There are precious gifts from God that revive and make our souls shine again. These are salvation, the Word, and prayer. A soul does not shine simply because the worldly circumstances improve. Our souls come back to life when our relationship with God is restored.

1. Salvation — We live by God's grace. Salvation is not obtained through our own efforts or works, but is a gift received through God's grace (Eph. 2:8-9). It is by God's grace that we have lived this far, and it is by God's grace that we can rise again when we fall. We must not forget the love of Jesus bestowed upon us on the cross, and we must give thanks every day. Let us live holding onto the identity that “I am a child of God and a person living by God's grace,” rather than focusing on circumstances or human evaluations. 1 Cor.15:10, “By the grace of God I am what I am... not I have done, but the grace of God that was with me.”

2. The Word — We follow God's path / “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). Rather than revealing our entire future all at once, God illuminates the path we must walk today through His Word. Even when the path ahead is unclear, holding onto the Word enables us to take the next step. In every moment of difficulty and choice, let us listen to God's Word before the voices of the world, and live in obedience to it. *Mt.4:4, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”

5. Prayer — Entrusting everything to God / “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Prayer is not about solving all problems on our own, but about entrusting to God what we cannot solve. Let us bring our worries and concerns, issues regarding our children and family, and all our needs for health and life to God. Even if problems do not disappear immediately when we pray, our hearts are drawn to God. Let us pray, trusting in God who is greater than our problems, and entrusting everything to Him. *Phil.4:6-7, “6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”

Resolution/ Every morning, let us remember the grace of salvation, hold fast to even a single verse of God’s Word, and entrust all the work and worries of the day to God through prayer. The more difficult the times, the less we distance ourselves from God, but the closer we draw to Him. Let us recover the joy of salvation, walk in the light of the Word, and live a life of walking with God through prayer. “I live by God’s grace.” “I will walk according to God’s Word.” “I will entrust everything to God and pray.” Today, let us confess, completely entrusting our souls to God: “Lord, revive my soul again, and let it shine again in You.”

Prayer/ Loving God the Father, help us to remember the grace of salvation every day, to walk in the light of the Word, and to pray while entrusting all our worries to You. Renew our weary souls, and let the light of Jesus shine through our lives. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

1. Salvation — Living by God's Grace
Observation / Q. By what were we saved, and where does salvation come from? (Eph.2:8-9)
A. We were saved not by our own works or merit, but by God's grace through faith. Salvation is a gift given freely by God.
Interpretation / Salvation is the starting point of the life of faith. The grace of the gospel is the fact that God held me first, rather than me holding onto God. Therefore, the deepest identity of a believer lies not in success or failure, but in being a child of God saved by His grace.
Application / Am I taking the grace of salvation for granted? Let us look at the cross again today and confess, “Thank you, Lord.” 1Cor.15:10. “By the grace of God I am what I am...”
Illustration — An Old Father’s Letter
A man kept an old letter from his father. At first, he cherished it and read it often, but as time passed, he buried it in a bookshelf. After his father passed away, he took the letter out again and read it, and tears welled up. It was not the letter that had changed, but the heart that looked at it that had changed. The love of the Cross had not changed either. We have simply become too accustomed to that grace.

2. The Word — Following God’s Way
Observation/Q. What does the Psalmist confess regarding God’s Word? (Ps.119:105)
A. God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. The Word shows us where we should go and guides us to walk the right path.
Interpretation/God does not show us our entire future, but He illuminates the path we must walk today through His Word. Therefore, believers must live according to God’s Word rather than their own emotions or the voices of the world. We must live holding onto the Word, which is the compass and mirror of life. Mt.4:4. “...man lives by the word of God.”
Application/What do you rely on when you cannot see the way forward? Let us hold onto even just one verse of the Word every day and live a life of obedience to it.

3. Prayer — Entrusting Everything to God
Observation/Q. With what attitude should a believer pray to God? (1Thes.5:16-18)
A. We should always rejoice, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances. Prayer is not something done only in special moments, but is conversing with and walking alongside God throughout our entire lives.
Application/Do you have worries or problems that you are carrying alone? Let us be honest with God today and entrust them to Him. When you have nothing to say in prayer, let us start with even a simple phrase like, “God, please help me,” “Please embrace me,” or “God, please comfort me.” *Phil.4:6-7. “...but by prayer and supplication, let your requests be made known to God...”

4. Resolution/Today, I will remember the grace of salvation, walk in the light of the Word, and entrust everything to God through prayer. “Lord, revive my soul and let it shine in God.”

5. Prayer / Loving God, grant that we may never forget the grace of saving us through the precious blood of the cross. Grant that we may walk the right path of truth and eternal life, following the light of the Word of Life. Enable us to entrust all our worries to You and to pray without ceasing. Renew our souls and enable us to radiate the light of Jesus. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, who gave us salvation, the Word, and prayer. Amen.
